I love this figure, but I didn't have a particular use for it. So when I started playing Fantasy Rules! I based it as a spirit for my 15mm undead army.
Undead Battlewagon for FR!I picked up a dinosaurs play pack from Toy Liquidators. It contained this stegosaurus skeleton, a tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, a tyrannosaurus rex, and a triceratops. I painted and based the T-rex skeleton for FR!, as well. I'll probably use the T-rex and triceratops with my Lizardman Army. I made small wooden boxes from craft sticks, and wrapped them in metallic mesh ribbon to get a "basket" texture. The skeletal bowmen are old Grendadier figures.

Undead Flying Heavy CavalryI wanted some undead flying cavalry for the FR! tournament at Genghis Con 1999 in Denver, but couldn't find any. So I grabbed the wings from Ral Partha's "Wind Riders" (RP 11-990) and added them to some Reaper undead cavalry (Reaper 03017). The wings are not ideal, since they are feathered instead of leathery, but after painting they look pretty good. The Reaper package contains four mounts and riders, but RP provides only three Wind Riders in their package, so I made three units of flying cavalry. That leaves me 3 wind rider body/rider pieces for the bits box (I don't care for them anyway), and one spare HCav figure from the Reaper package. The Reaper mounts have blanket-style barding, which flares in front of the rider's legs as though windblown. I smoothed the front of this with a file, and filed the wings to nest nicely against the "barding" and the horse's chest, and glued them on with a gap-filling cyanoacrylate gel. I clipped the lance heel free from the rider's foot, cleaned up the foot and the base of the lance, and bent the arm so the lance points horizontally, rather than the vertical carry of the original figure. I used black primer/base coat, and drybrushed several times with white for good contrast. The barding is basecoated violet and drybrushed with lavender. The crest is red with yellow highlights. The lance head tassels got the same treatment as the barding, while the lance heel tassels are red and yellow.
