Search on Frontier WebsiteCompatibility: 4.2.3? - 5.0.1 - 5.0.2b20 - 5.1+ - 6.0 - MacOS - Windows
NOTE: This script is not needed in versions 5.1.6 or later of Frontier. In those versions, Userland has added a Search... item to the Help menu that does the same thing. However, Userland's script does not grab the current selection as the default search string, nor does it remember the previous search string. SearchFrontierWebsite() prompts for keywords to search for, constructs the URL (with search parameters) of UserLand's Frontier search engine, and tells the default browser to load the page. It's a shortcut to search UserLand's Frontier site for keywords and display the results in the browser. The script grabs the current selection as the default search string and saves the search string in user.prefs.dialogs.query for possible repeat use/modification of the search string. This is derived from one of several such scripts from the Frontier Community mailing list.
